ROSE ELECTRA HARRIS

Rose Electra Harris finds inspiration everywhere in Mexico, from the flowers that don’t look quite real to the geometric iron gratings that cover doors and windows. Her paintings hum with life and colour and encourage the viewer to see the world through the same kaleidoscopic lens.

Our team filmed Rose exploring the spots in Mexico City that she loves most, from the Botanical Gardens in Chapultapec Park to her open air studio at JO-HS. Textures, patterns and colour everywhere!

When developing the script for the film, our director was keen to use cinematography to convey the artist’s concept. Rose wanted her artworks on the wall to merge with the natural elements of the exhibition space. To capture this on video we storyboarded film transitions, moving seamlessly between the gallery and nature locations we had previously recced.
